Development and renewal of Danish art and culture
The theme of Development and renewal of Danish art and culture will have a special focus on Music, especially Jazz and Classical Music. Poland has developed into one of Eastern Europe’s most lucrative music markets. Together with Denmark’s logistical proximity to this market, this is something that Danish music can utilize. The aim is to create long term, self-sustaining and artistically enriching projects that can strengthen the Danish music scene and create strong partnerships between Denmark and Poland.
- July – November 2019 and 2020: Ung Jazz (Young Jazz) in Poland. The project Ung Jazz is made up of a series of Danish-Polish Jazz concerts in Poland.
- July – November 2019 and 2020: Klassisk Musik – Nye Veje (Classical Music – New Ways) is a partnership project with Muzyka w Raju (Music in Paradise) and Infinite Baroque, where Danish musicians will take part.
- December 3rd – 5th 2019: The Danish choir Musica Ficta is invited by the National Orchestra and Choir in Poland, National Filharmoni, to perform.
- September 2020: The international music festival for modern music Warsaw Autumn, has a Nordic focus in 2020. Multiple Danish composers and musicians will participate in the festival.
