How is it that we find Danish products so desirable to own and use? Quality materials, ease of use and new innovations are not in themselves enough to spark desire for objects that say something about who we are. Danish designers are aware that a product loved is a product used.

The main idea behind the installation DESIRE is to take the objects out of their ordinary context, working in an abstract and graphic way that emphasises their interrelationship in terms of form and identity. The soft black-stained space with its curved structures sets the scene. A composition of curved shapes elaborated in close interaction with the sculptural objects creates spaces and defines place for the objects to be discovered.

The layers arouse curiosity while the semi glossy surfaces reflect the organic shapes and objects and create a dreamy atmosphere. The installation refers to Utzon´s work in the organic shapes which have a reference to both landscape and the human scale. The space contains secrets that have to be explored.
